This volume features many stories and tales gathered together by the author from the people of the Island from both English and Manx sources. A descendant of Illiam Dhone, Arthur Moore was the founder of the Manx Language Society. He was a keen collector of Manx culture, language and folklore and Speaker of the House of Keys. He sought to preserve the Manx culture.
This book will appeal to historians as well as readers who love a good tale.
