It all started on the Isle of Man - our home for 20 years.
The island was one of those places that formed part of a bigger moment in our lives — a time when things were changing, even if we didn’t fully realise it at the time. Living in Port Erin, Douglas, Tholt-y-Will and Ramsey, the island has a poignant place in our lives until we left in 2012.
After a period in Somerset, we took the decision to travel in our motorhome - just for a gap year whilst we sold property on the island. And after six weeks that turned into forever. Now, after a decade on the road, I have written a book about that journey.
It’s not really about travel — it’s the stories that sit underneath it. The burnout, the difficult choices, the leap of faith and all the lessons we’ve learned along the way.
