Dennis illustrates yet again his unique talent for bringing very ordinary subjects to life through the medium of verse. He retains his characteristic gentle wit and observational skill in this new collection of cleverly crafted original poems, proving that the body of his work deserves the highest praise. His poetry is a delight to read.
I feel very fortunate to have met Dennis who has been so generous with his knowledge and time in mentoring me. I know that I've become a better poet through his guidance and inspiration.
The illustrations by two of his great granddaughters suggest that the apple hasn't fallen very far from this very creative and talented family tree.
You won't be disappointed with this latest book and if you haven't already read his previous books, I highly recommend that you treat yourself to his whole collection.
